One Tip to Keep Your Dog Cool in the Summer

My owner did something the other day that I thought was a little weird at first, but when I realized he was cooling me off, it felt so good and I realized it was a great idea. So, I thought I would share it with you other dogs out there so you can all let your owners know how to keep a dog cool in the summer.

My owner and I live in the San Francisco bay area of California, and it usually doesn’t get too hot. Most homes in this area don’t even have air conditioning because the fog from the coast helps keep things relatively cool.

But, sometimes it does get unbearably hot, and me with my heavy black coat, I just about pass out from the heat!

Well, we don’t have A/C at home and after a quick potty walk on a very hot day, I came back in the house and laid down on the cool tile floor to try to cool off. I saw my owner go to the freezer and bring something out. He walked up to me with it and laid this 2 liter bottle of frozen water next to my neck.

I thought to myself, “What in the WOOF is he doing?” Then I felt the cool sensation of the bottle, and I began to relax. That cool bottle of frozen water was helping me to cool off faster. Oh boy, what a feeling! I began to play with the bottle and wrap myself around it to feel its frozen coolness. 67XKZJWDYSK4

I soon passed out to sleep, and I swear I had a fantastic dream of myself swimming in a cool stream. Wow! I guess my owner does know a thing or two.
